FAQs

Where are you located?

Marquis Farm moved to Union, MO September 2020. Our address is 502 Stagecoach Run which is about an hour west from down town St. Louis.

I’m interested in a horse you have listed for sale or lease. What are the next steps?

Give us a call/text or send us an email. We often have additional photos and videos of horses for sale as well.

Can I get help buying a horse?

Yes! Call or text Alix Naftzger at (314) 229-3525.

How do I schedule a lesson?

Lessons are offered Wednesday - Sunday. The best way to schedule a lesson is to text Alix Naftzger at (314) 229-3525 to coordinate a day and time for the lesson. If you are not a boarder at Marquis Farm, you will have a lesson horse assigned to you the day of your lesson.

For first time students of Marquis Farm, please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your schedule lesson. You will be shown where to find tack, grooming supplies, and be introduced to your ride. New to riding? Read below.

I’m new to riding! What do I need to know before I arrive for my lesson?

We’re excited for you! First things, first: you’ll need to sign a release form before you can start your ride.

There are few nonnegotiable for apparel/equipment. We require all students to wear a helmet during their ride. We have helmets you can use, but it’s encouraged that you purchase your own for the best fit. A heeled boot is also required for every rider — this is for safety. Other than that, we recommend wearing clothes that are easy to move around in, including tight, stretchy pants.

You can view our lesson options here. The beginner lesson package is an excellent place to start and will build a solid foundation in both riding and horsemanship.

I’m interested in your boarding options. What should I do next?

Call for availability. We’d love to hear more about you and your horse’s needs and see if one of our boarding packages is the right fit for you both. We can then schedule a time for you to come out and visit to see the farm first hand.

I want to put my horse in training

We have several different training packages available and can address a wide range training needs. You can read more about our training packages here.

How do I start showing with Alix Naftzger?
